THE HISTORY
The Ancient Hellenists [Greeks] became great conquerors & builders, followed by the Romans, who organized and ruled within an expanding, hierarchical/authoritarian empire.
Soon after the destruction of Herod's Temple in 70AD, generations of Christians began to assume from Greek thought the task of building the Kingdom of God, no longer deferring to Christ as the Builder. This change redirected many toward management of people (provisioning; ousting heretics, etc). As like for the Greeks, these believers gradually became dominated by the iron-and-clay of the Romans: to organize by way of authority structures. Historians have been telling us the story of this change, though it is for us hard news to bear.
Later, Europe pursued with protest: we know better.
Yet remaining in Christ, we live freed from the shadows,to walk in His marvelous light.
