The Protestors being Calvyn, Erasmus, Luther, Wesley, Knox, etc., were all staunch Roman Catholics. Because of reasons we ought to know, they put together a Constitution of 92 articles--or 96). But instead of forming one united church, no... each one wanted his own church. Calvyn choose Dutch Reform, which includes the Netherlands and Switzerland. Luther chose Germany and the northern countries. Knox (I think) chose or formed the Presbyterian church. Wesley, the Wesleyan church... Out of these so-called protestant movement sects (and remember, it's a sect in that a church leaving the mother church is defined as a sect), more than 4000 [distinct] churches and denominations have sprung up. Strange, how people think that religious groups are like wagon wheel spokes all going to the center being heaven. God is not divided.
Read Acts 4 versus 10 and 12. Also read Jeremiah 6 vs 16 and 17. Then go the Matthew 7 vs 13 onwards, and Luke 13 vs 23 and reconcile with what Jesus said for what is going on in religion today.
