The Stauros [The Cross]
Philippians 2:8 "And being found in appearance/fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death -- even death of the stauros!"
Mark 8:34-38 "And He summoned the multitude with His disciples, and said to them, If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his stauros, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's shall save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."
Luke 9:23 "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his stauros daily, and follow me."
I Corinthians 15:1-4 "I'm making known to you [again], brethren, the evangel/gospel I am bringing you, which you accepted, and on which you stand, through which also you are saved, if you hold to what I said -- unless indeed your faith was unreal from the first. For I give over to you that which I do also accept, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures; that He was buried; that He rose to life again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."
Luke 24:7 "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again."

I Corinthians 2:2 "It was my determination to concentrate entirely on Jesus Christ and Him cricified.
Romans 8:1-3 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. They are not walking in accord with the flesh, but rather in accord with the Spirit, for the Spirit's law of life in Christ. Jesus frees you from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was infirm through the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. Concerning sin, He condemned sin in the flesh…"

Matthew 27:40,42 [mockers at the Crucifixion:] "…demolishing the temple and building it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the stauros, if you are the Son of God! Likewise also, the chief priests with the scribes and elders, scoffing, He saved others, they said, but He can't save himself! If He is the King of Israel, let Him come down now from the stauros, and we will believe on Him."
Galatians 6:12 Those who desire to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply as to avoid being persecuted for the stauros of Christ.
Luke 14:27 "The man who will not take up his stauros and follow in My footsteps cannot be My disciple."
