Law Of God

Word of Law
John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, that 'I say you are gods'? [Psalm 82:6] If He said those were gods, to whom the word of God came (and the scripture can not be annulled), are you saying to Him Whom the Father hallows and dispatches into the world that 'You are blaspheming,' seeing that I said, 'Son of God am I'?
I Corinthians 14:21 “In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, says the Lord. [Isaiah 28:11-12]”
Psalm 19:7 “The law of the LORD is perfect/blameless, converting/restoring the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes/precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”
Matthew 7:12 “All, then, whatever you should be wanting that men should be doing to you, thus you, also, be doing to them, for this is the law and the prophets.”
Luke 24:44 “Now He said to them, These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me.
John 1:17 “For the law through Moses was given; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
John 1:45 “Philip is finding Nathanael and is saying to him, Him of Whom Moses writes in the law and the prophets, have we found Jesus, a son of Joseph, from Nazareth.
John 7:19 “Has not Moses given you the law? And not one of you is doing the law! Why are you seeking to kill Me?”
Acts 13:15 “Now, after the reading of the law and the prophets, the chiefs of the synagogue dispatch to them, saying, Men, brethren, if there is in you any word of entreaty for the people, say it.
Exodus 19:1-31:18

Law of Moses
Exodus 31:18 “And when He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.”
Exodus 34:27-28 “Then the Lord said to Moses, Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel. So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.”
Deuteronomy 4:13 “So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, that is, the ten commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.”
Deuteronomy 10:4-5 “And He wrote on the tablets, like the former writing, the ten commandments which the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them to me. Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the Lord commanded me.”

A Curse?
Galatians 3:10-14 “For whoever are of works of law are under a curse, for it written that, Accursed is everyone who is not remaining in all things written in the scroll of the law to do them. Now that in law no one is being justified with God is evident, for the just one by faith shall be living. Now the law is not of faith, but who does them shall be living in them. Christ reclaims us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for our sakes, for it is written, Accursed is everyone hanging on a pole/tree, that the blessing of Abraham may be coming to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we may be obtaining the promise of the spirit through faith.”
Deuteronomy 27:26Cursed is he who does not confirm the words of this law by doing them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Galatians 3:17-19 “What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise. Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made.”
Hebrews 7:17-22 “For it is witnessed of Him, Thou art a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness (for the law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. And inasmuch as it was not without an oath (for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him, The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, 'Thou art a priest forever'); so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.”
Hebrews 7:28 “For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever.”
Malachi 4:4 “Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”
Hebrews 2:2 “For if the word spoken through angels/messengers proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?”
Nehemiah 9:13-14 “Then Thou didst come down on Mount Sinai, and didst speak to them from heaven; Thou didst give to them just ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments. So Thou didst make known to them Thy holy sabbath, and didst lay down for them commandments, statutes, and law, through Thy servant Moses.”
Galatians 4:21-31 “Tell me, you who want to be under law, are you not hearing the law? For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one out of the maid and one out of the free womam. But the one, indeed, out of the maid is begotten according to flesh, yet the one out of the free woman through the promise: which is allegorizing, for these women are two covenants; one, indeed, from mount Sinai, generating into slavery, which is Hagar. Yet Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia; it is in line with the Jerusalem which now is, for she is in slavery with her children. Yet the Jerusalem above is free, who is mother of us all. For it is written, Be glad, barren one, who art not bringing forth! Burst forth and implore, thou who art not travailing! For many are the children of the desolate, Rather than of her who has the husband. Now you, brethren, as Isaac, are children of promise. But even as then, the one generated according to flesh persecuted the one according to spirit, thus also it is now. But what is the scripture saying? Cast out this maid and her son, for by no means shall the son of the maid be enjoying the allotment with the son of the free woman. Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of the maid, but of the free woman.”

Before the Law of Moses…
Genesis 15:4-6 “Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, This man will not be your heir; but one who shall come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir. And He took him outside and said, Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be. Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.”
Genesis 17:10-11 “This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised. And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be the sign of the covenant between Me and you.”
Romans 4:1-25
Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; but the righteous will live by his faith.”
Romans 1:16-17 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to every one who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, But the righteous man shall live by faith.
Hebrews 10:38-39 “Now My just one by faith shall be living, and if he should ever be shrinking [back], My soul is not delighting in him. Yet we are not of those shrinking back to destruction, but of faith for the procuring of the soul.”

How Does The Law Serve?
I Timothy 1:8-11 “Now we are aware that the law is good/ideal if ever anyone is using it lawfully, being aware of this, that law is not laid down for the just/righteous, yet it is for the lawless and insubordinate/rebellious, the irreverent/ungodly and sinners, the malign/unholy and profane, thrashers/killers of fathers and thrashers/killers of mothers, homicides, paramours, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, perjurers, and if any other thing is opposing sound teaching, in accord with the evangel of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.”
Romans 3:19-20 “Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God because, by works of law, no flesh at all shall be justified in His sight, for through law is the recognition of sin.”
Jeremiah 11:1-5 “The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and say to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, “Cursed is the man who does not heed the words of this covenant which I commanded your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, 'Listen to My voice, and do according to all which I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God,' in order to confirm the oath which I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then I said, Amen, O LORD.
II Corinthians 3:4-9 “Now such is the confidence we have through Christ toward God (not that we are competent of ourselves, to reckon anything as of ourselves, but our competency is of God), who also makes us competent dispensers of a new covenant/testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit, for the letter is killing, yet the spirit is vivifying/giving life. Now if the dispensation/ministry of death, by letters chiseled in stone, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look intently into the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face, which was being nullified, how shall not rather the dispensation/ministry of the spirit be in glory? For if in the dispensation/ministry of condemnation is glory, much rather the dispensation/ministry of righteousness is exceeding in glory.”
Romans 2:12-16 “For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their reckonings between one another, accusing or defending them in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”
Deuteronomy 6:17-18 “You should diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and His testimonies and His statutes which He has commanded you, and you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with you and that you may go in and possess the good land which the Lord swore to give your fathers, by driving out all your enemies from before you, as the Lord has spoken.”
Romans 7:7-8 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, You shall not covet. But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire.”
Isaiah 56:1-7 “Thus says the Lord: Keep justice, and do righteousness, for My salvation is about to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and keeps his hand from doing any evil. Do not let the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord speak, saying, 'The Lord has utterly separated me from His people'; nor let the eunuch say, 'Here I am, a dry tree.' For thus says the Lord: To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose what pleases Me, and hold fast My covenant, even to them I will give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants - everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and holds fast My covenant - even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.
Psalm 103:17-18 “But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear/revere Him, and His righteousness to children's children, to those who keep His covenant, and who remember His precepts to do them.”
Deuteronomy 32:46-47 “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe all the words of this law. For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life,…”
Psalm 78:37 “For their heart was not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant.”

New Covenant & Law
Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:23-24; Luke 22:20 “And He [Jesus] took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink you all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Romans 10:4 “For Christ is the consummation of law for righteousness to everyone who is believing. For Moses is writing of the righteousness which is of law, that a man who does the same shall be living in it.”
I Corinthians 11:23-25 “For I accepted from the Lord, what I give over also to you, that the Lord Jesus, in the night in which He was given up, took bread, and giving thanks, breaks it and said, This is My body, broken for your sakes. This do for a recollection of Me. Similarly, the cup also, after dining, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you are drinking, for a recollection of Me.
Hebrews 12:22-24 “But you have come to mount Zion, and the city of the living God, celestial Jerusalem, and to ten thousand messengers, to a universal convocation, and to the ecclesia of the firstborn, registered in the heavens, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the just perfected, and to Jesus, the Mediator of a fresh covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which is speaking better than Abel.”
Jeremiah 31:31-32 “Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, says the LORD: but this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people, and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Hebrew 8:6-13 “Yet now He has happened upon a more excellent ministry, in as much as He is the Mediator, also, of a better covenant, which has been instituted on better promises. For if that first one were unblamable, no place would have been sought for a second. For, blaming them, He is saying, Lo! The days are coming, the Lord is saying, And I shall be concluding with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant, not in accord with the covenant which I make with their fathers In the day of My taking hold of their hand To be leading them out of the land of Egypt, Seeing that they do not remain in My covenant, And I neglect them, the Lord is saying, For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days, the Lord is saying: Imparting My laws to their comprehension, on their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, and they shall be to Me for a people, and by no means should each be teaching his fellow citizen, And each his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord!' For all shall be acquainted with Me, From their little to their great, for I shall be propitious to their injustices, And of their sins and their lawlessnesses should I under no circumstances still be reminded. In saying new, He has made the former old. Now that which is growing old and decrepit is near its disappearance.”
Romans 7:1-6 “Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another - to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.”
Romans 7:4-5 “For Christ is the consummation/completion/end of law for righteousness to everyone who is believing. For Moses is writing of the righteousness which is of law, that a man who does the same shall be living in it.”
Ephesians 2:13-16 “But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.”
Psalm 119:126 “It is time for You to act, O Lord, for they have regarded Your law as void.”
Romans 3:31 “Do we now obliterate the law? Do we ignore it and see it as empty words? Do we do what the wicked do and regard the law as void? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.”
Galatians 2:21 “I do not nullify the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”
Galatians 3:21-22 “For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. But the Scripture has confined all under sin…”
Romans 8:1-4 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”
Galatians 5:16-18 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh is lusting against the spirit, yet the spirit against the flesh. Now these are opposing one another, lest you should be doing whatever you may want. Now, if you are led by spirit, you are not still under law.”
Exodus 20:2-7 “I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you. You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is your neighbor's.”
Galatians 5:14 “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37-40 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Psalm 119:34 “Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”
Psalm 119:44 “So shall I keep Your law continually, forever and ever.”
Psalm 119:51 “The proud have me in great derision, Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.”
Psalm 119:55 “I remember Your name in the night, O Lord, and I keep Your law.”
Romans 15:4 “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
Psalm 94:12-13 “Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law. That You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.”
Psalm 119:18 “Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.”
Psalm 119:142 “Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth.”
