Hearing God
Revelation 3:22 "Whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the ekklesias."
John 12:28 "Jesus prayed, Father, glorify Your name! A voice, then, came from heaven, I glorify also, and shall be glorifying it again. The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him. Jesus said, This voice was for your benefit, not mine."
II Peter 1:16-19 "We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty/magnificence. For He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased/delighted. We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with Him on the sacred mountain. And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."

God Will Do What He Says
Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?"
Romans 4:17 "As it is written: I have made you a father of many nations. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed -- the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were."
Isaiah 55:1-11 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live…" Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon… As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."
Isaiah 42:1-2 "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets."
Matthew 17:5 "While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
Proverbs 14:15 "A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps."
II Corinthians 11:3 "But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ."
II Timothy 3:13-17 "…evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and verified, being aware of from whom you learned it, and that from your childhood you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good act."
Romans 7:21-23 "So I find this law at work: When I want to do the ideal, evil is lying beside me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war with the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin in my members."
II Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ."

Those practiced at knowing God's voice need not pretend or merely hope. They can speak with authority, conviction, and result. [Romans 12:2] They need not be double-minded or resort to psychological gymnastics. [James 1:5-8] They can pray in real faith. [James 5:15]
For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. [Romans 10:17]
Jeremiah 6:10 "To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it."
Zechariah 7:11-13 "But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and stopped up their ears. They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen… So the Lord Almighty was very angry. When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen, says the Lord Almighty."
Matthew 13:12-17 "Whoever has will be given more, and he will have a abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. This is why I speak to them in parables: Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. [Isaiah 6:9-11] In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's heart has become callused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

Obeying The Father's Voice
I Samuel 15:22 "Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice…"
James 1:22 "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
Isaiah 30:20-21 "Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction/oppression, He, your Teacher no longer hide Himself; with your own eyes you will behold your Teacher. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it."
John 10:2-5 "He who is entering through the gate is the shepherd of His sheep. The doorkeeper/watchman opens the gate for Him, and the sheep listen to His voice. He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
