Now there are apportionments of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all. Toward expedience, each one is being given the manifestation of the Spirit. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another graces of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of powers/miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the translation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, apportioning to each one individually just as He wills. For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, thus also is Christ. For by/in/with one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
I Corinthians 12:4-13
Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues. But let all things be done properly and in an orderly manner.
I Corinthians 14:39-40
Quench not the Spirit. Do not scorn prophecies. Yet, be testing all, retaining the ideal.
I Thessalonians 5:19-21
Since we have gifts that differ according to the excelling grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, in accord with the proportion of the faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts/entreats, in his exhortation/entreaty; he who gives, with generosity/simplicity; he who stands/leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness/glee.
