Follow Them And People Will Follow You

In corners beyond the Kingdom of God and His Christ, Maxwell's Leadership Laws are evidently at work and irrefutable. How or why do they fail at the gate of heaven and soul? The Bible tells.

       Premise Violations:

21's sub-title, "Follow Them And People Will Follow You", legates a leadership plain substandard to Christian discipleship. Jesus said, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. [Matthew 4:19; Mark 1:17] To go fishing by the will of another [Christ] is the work of a laborer and a servant; telling of our Lord's peerless, tier-less leadership in and through men vis-a-vis the Spirit of God.

  ———Maxwell's LAWS OF LEADERSHIP §1.000 thru §21.000———

LAW OF THE LID:  Leadership Ability Determines A Person's Level of Effectiveness

Does effectiveness in the service of God follow one's personal ability? We must consider what is made known of the twelve Disciples, and for Paul's description from I Corinthians 1:26-31. Many effective men of God were not so much called or known for their "Leadership Ability" (i.e., Abraham, Moses, Gideon, Jonah, Daniel, etc.). Rather, effectiveness for Christ is found where faith and availability persists.

LAW OF INFLUENCE:  The True Measure of Leadership Is Influence — Nothing More, Nothing Less

Nothing less than a man's influence running contrary to the rule of Christ? let him who is the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as a servant. [Luke 22:26] The Holy Spirit has become for us the influence upon the hearts & minds of men as He will. [John 16:7-11] He leads in/through us by example. [John 13:15; I Corinthians 10:11; Philippians 3:17; I Thessalonians 1:7; II Thessalonians 3:7-9; I Timothy 1:16; 4:12; Titus 2:7; I Peter 2:21]

LAW OF PROCESS:  Leadership Develops Daily, Not in a Day

Excepting for a day such as recorded in Acts 2, and for other times when the power of God promptly transforms a man. [II Corinthians 5:17] Men of the world are ever constrained as they wait upon process.

LAW OF NAVIGATION:  Anyone Can Steer The Ship, But It Takes A Leader To Chart The Course

None is qualified to chart a safe course for men except the only-begotten of God, who has come by His Spirit to direct the helm of our heart… if we will permit Him. [Matthew 6:10]

LAW OF E. F. HUTTON:  When The Real Leader Speaks, People Listen

Some did, some do. [Luke 6:46-49; John 6:65-71]

LAW OF SOLID GROUND:  Trust Is The Foundation Of Leadership

Truth is the enduring foundation of leadership. [Luke 1:1-4; Romans 9:1; II Corinthians 4:2; 11:10; Galatians 2:1-14; Ephesians 4:15] Truth yields competence, character and connection. [Matthew 22:16; John 3:21; Acts 26:25; I Corinthians 5:8; I Timothy 3:14-15; I John 5:6; III John 1:8]

LAW OF RESPECT:  People Naturally Follow Leaders Stronger Than Themselves

People best follow Christ, and as His life is lived in His children. [Matthew 23:10; Ephesians 6:10]

LAW OF INTUITION:  Leaders Evaluate Everything with a Leadership Bias

Wisdom and discernment being above instinct or intuition. [Luke 21:15; Acts 6:10; II Corinthians 1:12; Colossians 1:28; Jude 1:10]

LAW OF MAGNETISM:  Who You Are Is Who You Attract

What shall we say for Jesus Christ, who attracts the failing and the troubled. [Matthew 8:1; 9:10-13; Mark 1:40; Luke 15:1; I Corinthians 1:26]

LAW OF CONNECTION:  Leaders Touch a Heart Before They Ask for a Hand

The life ministry of Christ reveals no such emotional prerequisite in faith leading to works. [Matthew 4:18-20; Luke 9:57-62]

LAW OF THE INNER CIRCLE:  A Leader's Potential Is Determined by Those Closest to Him

A man's potential is determined by his regeneration in, and communion with, God. [Matthew 23:8; Philippians 4:13; Titus 3:5-6]

LAW OF EMPOWERMENT:  Only Secure Leaders Give Power to Others

Only God can give power to any man. [Matthew 9:8; II Timothy 1:7]

LAW OF REPRODUCTION:  It Takes a Leader to Raise Up a Leader

The Leader raising us up in leadership is Jesus Christ. [Ephesians 4:11-13]

LAW OF BUY-IN:  People Buy Into the Leaders, Then the Vision

Christians have already bought-in to the vision of God. [John 6:68-69; Hebrews 12:28]

LAW OF VICTORY:  Leaders Find a Way for the Team to Win

Leaders know how to win in following the example of Christ. [Romans 8:37; II Corinthians 2:14]

LAW OF THE BIG MO:  Momentum Is a Leader's Best Friend

You're either alive or dead, cold or hot, in Christ or not. [Romans 6:11; 8:9; Colossians 2:13; Revelation 3:1,15,16]

LAW OF PRIORITIES:  Leaders Understand That Activity Is Not Necessarily Accomplishment.

Activity comes out of obedience. God accomplishes the work [Hebrews 13:20-21]

LAW OF SACRIFICE:  A Leader Must Give Up To Go Up

Surrender into compromise? Obedience is better than sacrifice. [I Samuel 15:22; Romans 12:2; II Corinthians 2:14]

LAW OF TIMING:  When To Lead Is As Important As What To Do and Where To Go

Time and timing remains in the hands of God. Be led by Him. [Romans 8:14; James 4:13-16; II Peter 3:9]

LAW OF EXPLOSIVE GROWTH:  To Add Growth, Lead Followers — To Multiply, Lead Leaders

Artificial growth? It is Christ who gifts, calls, chooses and leads men. [I Corinthians 1:24; Colossians 3:12; II Timothy 1:8-9]

LAW OF LEGACY:  A Leader's Lasting Value Is Measured by Succession

Any man's lasting value is measured in Christ. [Romans 15:17,18,29; I Corinthians 4:1; II Corinthians 5:17]
