Jesus Christ to the Laodicians

CHAPTER 1
1 And to the angel/messenger of the ekklesia in Laodicea write:
The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning/Origin/Source/Head/Ruler of the creation of God, says this:
2 I am aware of your acts, that you are neither cool/cold nor hot/zealous; I would that you were cool/cold or hot/zealous.
3 So because you are lukewarm/indifferent, and neither hot/zealous nor cool/cold, I will/am about to spit/spew you out of My mouth.
4 You are saying, "I am rich, and have become wealthy; I have need of nothing," and you are not aware that you are wretched and miserable/forlorn and poor and blind and naked.
5 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed/manifest; and eyesalve to anoint your eyes, that you may see/observe.
6 Those whom I love (in fondness), I reprove/expose and discipline; be zealous/hot therefore, and repent!
7 Behold, I stand at the door and am knocking; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will also come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.
8 He who is conquering/overcoming, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also conquer/overcome and sat down with My Father on His throne.
9 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the ekklesias.
