Ekklesia in Jerusalem to Antioch

CHAPTER 1
1 The apostles and the elders and the brethren, to the brethren in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia who are out of the nations: Rejoice!
2 Since we have heard that some coming out from our number to whom we gave no instruction/assignment have disturbed you with their words, unsettling/dismantling your souls,
3 it seemed good to us, having become of one mind/accord, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
4 men who have given up their souls for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 Therefore we have sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will also report the same things by word of mouth.
6 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no other burden than these essentials:
7 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from prostitution; if you are careful to keep yourselves free from such things, you will be well engaged. Farewell.
